Welcome to Earth in Common!

Good Nutrition for a Healthy Life

Nutrition for our Bodies, our Gardens and new Food for Thought.

Earth in Common provides information, resources and sells products that helped me recover from Mercury Poisoning, Allergies and Chemical Sensitivities. Over the course of my journey, I learned some powerful guidelines, for creating health, that I will share with you. In addition, as we discover more wonderful alternatives, we are adding them to the store. You can place your orders online or call toll-free 1-888-484-6622.

I also learned just how easy it is to live and garden organically. I will explore with you how to create a healthy home and environment.

Food from the garden should be as chemical-free as you want your body to be, so go organic! Our plan is to offer more organic gardening products and resources as we grow, so check back periodically.

This web site is our effort to show you that health and well being is available and possible for everyone, and that includes you too! If I can do it, everyone can! We want to make it easy for you to find resources and products, to help you on your journey, all in one place. Good luck!

"Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food." - Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.)

I believe that.....

We gain our physical strength from the process of breaking down the food we eat. The more nutritious our food, the more it promotes our good health.

The Connection Between Nutrition & Healthy, Living Soil

Plant life is intimately bound up with the life of the soil and its beneficial microorganisms. The microorganisms make the nutrients in the soil easier for the plant to absorb. This mirrors the same digestive process that goes on in our bodies. The beneficial microorganisms/flora in our intestines breakdown nutrients in the food that we have eaten so that the body can absorb them.

We need food grown in rich nutrient dense soil that is alive and rich in vitamins and minerals. Biodynamic and organic farming practices recognize that this vitality supports and affects the quality and health of the plants that grow in it. Eat organic!

I've had so much fun making probiotic foods like cultured vegetables, coconut water kefir and other kefir drinks! Here's a picture of some of my efforts.

In this photo, you can see various types of Kim Chi and my own concoctions of wonderful nutritious veggies. I also made some pickles, cultured coconut milk, and ginger water kefir.

Some of the recipes are located on our recipe page.

Inspiration

Trust in your own intuition. It is the best guide.

We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. (Albert Einstein)

Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk. (Henry David Thoreau)

Things do not change; we change.(Henry David Thoreau)
